According to the Longitudinal Ageing Survey of India 2020, there are 18 million homeless elderly persons in India. The survey states that in the year 2020, one in 20, i.e., 5% of people aged 60 years or more experienced ill-treatment. Every year thousands of ageing parents are either thrown out of home or sent away to old age homes. We, at Uday Foundation, conduct fun sing & dance programmes at various old age homes across the city, where we entertain these old souls and make them forget their pain.
Vision: Eliminate Hunger
Donating food to the less fortunate benefits in the overall well-being of our country in more ways than we may realize. When people have food to eat, they’re healthy enough to play their part as active and engaged citizens which not only supports households but also boosts the economy and impacts the society on a larger scale. We, at Uday Foundation, organize a monthly food & grocery distribution drive for the less privileged and hungry sections of urban and rural Mumbai.
